CaddyBytes 🏆 2026 Truist Championship Final Round Highlights: The final round of the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club opened on a picture-perfect Sunday in Charlotte, with warm conditions, very little wind, and large Mother's Day galleries surrounding one of the PGA Tour's premier Signature Event stages. With scoring chances available early, the final round quickly became a mix of aggressive approaches, recovery shots, and late leaderboard pressure.
Min Woo Lee made one of the early Sunday charges, closing with a sharp 7-under 64 to post one of the best rounds of the day. Rickie Fowler also kept pushing into contention with quality short-game work, including multiple bunker saves and a birdie that moved him into double digits under par. Patrick Cantlay, Sungjae Im, Tommy Fleetwood, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Alex Fitzpatrick all appeared in the final-round highlight run as Quail Hollow continued to reward precise iron play and punish loose shots.
Kristoffer Reitan delivered the calmest closing performance when it mattered most. After starting the day in the chase, the Norwegian stayed composed while the leaderboard tightened around him, using steady ball-striking and key putting to move in front. His final-round 69 carried him to 15-under for the tournament and a two-shot victory over Fowler and Hojgaard, giving Reitan his first PGA Tour win on a major-championship style setup at Quail Hollow.
The Green Mile again helped decide the championship. Fitzpatrick had chances to stay in the fight but could not escape the late trouble, while Reitan handled the closing stretch with the kind of control needed to win at Quail Hollow. By the time the final putts dropped, the 2026 Truist Championship had produced a breakthrough champion, a strong Fowler Sunday run, and another reminder that Quail Hollow's finishing holes can change everything before the trophy is handed out.
